wednesday nights and sunday evenings.

My life is work and school.

But i have two optional activities that make regular appearances in my schedule.

sanctuary--- the goth night. and if you're a good facebook stalker, you can see all the (risque, are you serious) photographs you could possible want to. Not of me, of course.

and bible study.--- it's so sweet and nice and all these people are so friendly and they always feed me good food and is it a staple of Christianity to have an older man with a guitar? Because if it is, one day, I want to be an older man with a guitar.

I like these two things very much. They are Nice.

However, they are not very satisfying. I am getting bored with both of them.

I am feeling like something is missing,
I don't think it's a good stiff drink (*cough*) and sometimes I wonder if it is God?

whatever makes you happy

you know when you're in love? and that aching feeling you get over long distance seperation? Snowboarding and I are so far apart its like the beginning of a romantic comedy and ever since a one-night-stand with MDMA, I am realizing that snowboarding and I should never have let Summer (that conniving b*tch) come between us.

I'm just waiting impatiently for the Day After Tomorrow. Then you won't need a job to snowboard ALL THE TIME.

Let's play Either/Or

Let's play either/or, and these questions are arbitrary.

Would you rather have a whole-hearted, genuine friendship or someone's half-hearted and cautious affections?
Would you rather see someone every day a little bit, or once a week for a long time?
Would you rather fuck a bunch of strangers with no diseases, or marry one person you love with HIV?
Would you rather work in a job you hate that leaves time for that which you love, or work in a job that turns what you love into a job?
Would you rather have someone you love happy and in love with someone else, or have them in love with you and wish their life was different?
Would you rather be independant and lonely, or codependant and bored?
Would you rather give up the internet or your cellphone?
Would you rather be burglarized or blackmailed? (assuming you loose an equal monetary value)
Would you rather be selfish and entertaining, or a generous introvert?
Would you rather be yourself now or yourself five years from now?

Are you doing today what will make you who you want to be in the future?
Do you ask yourself either/or questions when you make your decisions?

I teach art classes

Quotodien things do not make me nervous. And on one day off I was walking and I saw a kids' art center and was like, "i want to do that." So I went in and said hi and then sent them a resume. But they needed stuff and i had no stuff so I forgot about it.

Than I got a call that said, "let's meet up."
So I was nervous. for sure.

And then I went in and found out that it wasn't so much an interview as much as a "You start on the 12 and you need to make lesson plans." Followed by tea and chatting and smiles.

I now teach art classes to two kids at the Green Apple Art Centre on Tuesdays and Saturdays for the next two months.

Progression! Dropping in! Exclamations!
And it's only minimum wage but for someone with no experience it's fricative perfect.

Theresa is Visiting.

Songs I'm thinking of:

Nightwish: Over the hills and far away
Mewithoutyou: Gentlemen
AFI: 37 mm

And I have had more alcohol in the last three days than I have, cumulatively, in the last month and a half. I'm sure.
Not to say I've been coming home thrashed.

But it does mean that I've come to a few nice conclusions.

It makes me happy that I have a good friend named Theresa from Germany who likes Vancouver and to come visit. And that I have good friends that like to go to the Naam at 4 am. And that my job is part-time so that I can go to work at three. AND that i don't have to work tomorrow. And that is the best part of all.

More interesting things are apparently going to happen in the next couple of weeks, too!

Comeback Kid

I went and saw Comeback Kid with Andy and Lindsay.

I last saw them on St. Patricks day, and before that more times than I can recall, in Manitoba. They're pretty fun.

I participated in a circle pit.

What happened to the Hiebert member of the band? The one with the hot brother? I don't know......unless he suddenly acquired a full head of hair.

It was fantastic.

Such energy! So many sweaty boys with short hair and axe deoderant!

D-Cup Bras, and Other Notes

This morning I got up and than went to my friends' house, to do laundry.

Cat was there, and she was sick, so the two of us stayed in bed all day watching movies and eating vegetarian. And then Ryon showed up, so she says, "Come sit down between two flowers."

Ryon: "What am I? Mulch?!"

He went to work instead.

****

I really want to date someone like Thomas Crowne: someone who'd steal art for me, play fascinating mind games with me, have a great deal of mmmmm, fun, and then get on an airplane and fly away to wherever. Note: "steal art" is key.

****

Why do D-cup bras have padding in them?

***

I met Ryon's uncle today, as he came in, and I was going shopping with Megan. It was a very brief interaction, and when I returned and the uncle was gone, Ryon let me know what impression I had made.

"My uncle thought you were scared of him."

"Well," I said, "He does remind me of the older man who calls my call center demanding all sorts of things."

"I see." Said Ryon.

"He's the type to whom I'd give a customer service gesture, JUST to stop talking to them."

My $1800 Shirt

I bought this white cropped hoodie last summer, because I thought it would be practical. I never wore it.

And then my bank account got skimmed for 1800$ and I'm sure it was at the store I bought it at because they scanned my card twice and then shortly after someone in Europe started siphoning my money.

Well, I got the money back, but if I hadn't- this shirt would've been damn expensive and I never would have worn it!

But today, it turned out to be JUST the thing I wanted to wear. How perfect is that!

Let us not mince words; the marvelous is always beautiful, in fact only the marvelous is beautiful.

Cleaning my Room

Ok.

I decided I should organize my papers/forms/books and now my room looks like a hurricane of ephemera. It's fun, but not for long.

It's all for Her

I was glad to hear "Pose!," to see that serene creature, with trembling life in every inch of her, snap back into model queen of the room. Everything was for her. The notice on the outside of the door, "Life Class, keep Out" was for her. Heat, light, hush-- all were for her. Unprotected flesh made us tender, protective, chivalrous. Her beauty delighted the artist in us. The illuminated glow of her flesh made sacred the busy hush as we worked.

Her live beauty swallowed every inch of my shyness. I had never been taught to think of our naked bodies as something beautiful, only as something indecent, something to be hidden. Here was nothing but loveliness...only loveliness--a glad, life-lit body, a woman proud of her profession, proud of her shapely self, regal, illuminated, vital, high-poised above our clothed insignificance.

At four o'clock the model stepped down from her throne, rubbed tired muscles a little, disappeared behind the curtain, emerged ordinary, a woman clothed shabbily, all the beauty she had lent us hidden.

Goth Invades the Bathroom

This is a record of how I dry my clothes and how it looks like bats hanging by their feet.

Gray Abstraction Plans

These are the pictures that I plan to use for an acrylic abstraction painting. I think they are all fine compositions in and of themselves but I really like the colors and the linear aspects of the skytrain, so I think it would work very well as an abstract. I've already done one, but I oversaturated the colors and the scale is too small. I plan to try again.

text: photos and words for a million.

Bite.

Here, I have started a new blog. I like Blogger very much; it's easy to organize, and I think that this one will also be easy to keep up. Open eyes and ears, children.

A story;

Lately, talking on the phone with my parents, with Katie, and when I went to TWU, I have been hearing that I sound happier.
Interesting, how one is happier when one is not depressed.

It's good.
